ROME – Filming has begun on ‘These Ghosts’, the sixth chapter of the film transposition project of Eduardo De Filippo‘s theatrical masterpieces. The film – written by Massimo Gaudioso and Filippo Gili – is directed by Alessandro Gassmann and stars Massimiliano Gallo, Anna Foglietta and Alessio Lapice. Filming will take place in Naples for five weeks.
Pasquale Lojacono moves into a large apartment together with his wife Maria, following a very particular agreement with its owner: in exchange for their free stay in the property, Pasquale will have to dispel the rumors according to which the house is infested with ghosts. The protagonist becomes the recipient of regular sums of money from spirits who, according to him, are particularly generous and supportive towards him. As time passes, however, it turns out that the person responsible for his fortune is a ghost who, having become Maria’s lover, would like to silence him and plan an escape with her. Added to this singular love triangle are the doorman, the doorkeeper’s sister and the lover’s family and each, in their own way, exploits the well-known legend under the gaze of Professor Santanna who, from the window of the apartment opposite, observes and comments with Pasquale the inexplicable events.
