ROME – The water bottle that ended up straight on his head did not blunt his famous irony. Novak Djokovic showed up this morning at the Tennis Internationals in Rome with a cycling helmet worn over his regular capto prevent him from receiving (again) a bottle in head while signing autographs. “Today I came prepared”, he wrote on social media where he also posted a video.

THE ACCIDENT

After the victory against his French opponent Corentin Moutet Djokovic slowed down to sign a couple of autographs to some fans who handed out a piece of paper for a dedication. And at that moment, from above, something that looked like a bottle of water fell on his head. He immediately knelt on the ground holding his head.

In the evening, after the accident, the tennis player thanked and reassured all his supporters: “Thank you for the messages of concern. It was an accident and I’m fine resting in the hotel with an ice pack. See you all on Sunday “.
