ALBA ADRIATICA (Teramo) – Two Abruzzo supermarkets join the large network of commercial businesses that join the initiatives of Acquaditalia, a company that distributes high quality, controlled, zero-mile, eco-sustainable water . These are two sales points in Teramo and Tortoreto (Teramo). The innovative water house has been installed next to these popular markets. For users who join the Acquaditalia card it is in fact possible to fill bottles of water at no cost. The Alba Adriatica company, managed by Matteo Ferrari, has created a patent to manage the distribution of water with the cashback system, therefore without using cash or other means to purchase basic necessities. “For over 10 years, Acquaditalia has eliminated coins. Our users have a card to withdraw still or sparkling water, microbiologically controlled, which, right at the moment of dispensing, is microfiltered and debacterial”, explains Ferrari.

Whoever owns the Acquaditalia card can ‘earn’ one liter of water for every euro spent in participating shops. “Currently the shops that have chosen to join the program are around 100 – he adds – respectively in Abruzzo, the Marche and Sicily, in particular in the Ragusa and Agrigento areas. The two supermarkets in Teramo and Tortoreto are the most recent, they add to a large number of restaurants, pubs, pharmacies, personal and automotive services, and haberdashery shops in short, the network includes businesses that every family accesses on a daily basis the formula for every euro spent is one liter free, it is simple and has a great impact on the environment and the economy”.

Choosing to abandon purchases that involve useless plastic and transport from places very far from your residence is part of the green culture that Acquaditalia has been pursuing since the beginning of its history. And he continues to do so, innovating. Ferrari has handed over to the company that administers the patent for the management system of the water houses which, in fact, works through cashback. This system will soon reach the second step: “From analogue management, we are moving to a digital platform, in the cloud, which will allow a double advantage: users will be able to do without the card, to manage supplies and top-ups from the smartphone, and the water houses will become 4.0 distributors. That is – Ferrari specifies – they will be able, through integrated software, with high technological content, to provide efficient and timely data on their status user experience and a greater economic and environmental savings”.

Users in possession of the Acquaditalia card are already over 20 thousand. For them, spending on mineral water is already a memory. “Each family, on average, consumes 600 liters of water every year. They certainly spend more than 600 euros on essential expenses, such as food, pharmacy products, so certainly using our card allows you not only to have the ‘free water but to be able to make new purchases. In fact, once a year, each family will have the cashback available to be converted into shopping vouchers, to always be used in affiliated stores”, specifies the Acquaditalia administrator. It is a collaboration with traders without further commitments to green culture and savings: just continue shopping, like every day, to have liters of water without further outlays. An example: “The two new affiliated supermarkets – concludes Ferrari – offer 4 quarterly offers, offering customers 40 thousand liters of free water every 3 months. In total, 320 thousand liters per year will therefore be available to users year” which are added to those made available by all other affiliated stores.
