Accident in Bologna, pedestrian hit by a bus in via Rizzoli

The person was hit at the pedestrian crossing by a Tper vehicle from line 29

BOLOGNA – Pedestrian hit by a local public transport bus this morning in the center of Bologna. The person was run over at the pedestrian crossing located at the intersection between via Rizzoli and piazza Re Enzo, in front of the Modernissimo intersection. The Tper vehicle of line 29 arrived from Via Rizzoli and was turning towards Piazza Re Enzo.

A shoe remained between the wheels of the vehicle. The accident occurred just over an hour ago, according to what some witnesses report, who saw the ambulance arrive after a few minutes; paramedics provided first aid on site and then took the victim (probably a woman) away. The local police are on site, having closed the section of Piazza Re Enzo from via Rizzoli to the intersection with via degli Orefici; queues of vehicles formed in via Indipendenza and via Ugo Bassi. The officers are carrying out investigations. The bus stopped right across the pedestrian crossing and traces of the impact can be seen on the asphalt a few steps later.
