ROME – More than 3 thousand children and young people flocked this morning to the lawns of Villa Pamphili for the now traditional end-of-day event school year with the State Police.
The event is the final stage of ‘A social life’, the travelling educational campaign created by the Police Postal which aims to raise young people’s awareness of the risks and dangers of the internet.
But it wasn’t just the Postal Police truck. In the largest villa in the capital, there were operators and vehicles from all the specialties of the State Police: the Highway Police, the Forensics, the Railways, the bomb squad, the canines, the Fiamme Oro, the Mobile Department, the Flight Department. , the Fluviale, the Camper of the ‘This is not love’ campaign with all its specialized team, the Health Office and a large representation of the policemen from the Rome Police Headquarters who, also this year, they carried out the ‘Safe Schools’ project by meeting thousands of pupils, teachers and parents in the schools of the capital to raise their awareness of the issues of respect for the rules, for others and for legality in all its facets.

Historic cars and Lamborghinis attracted the attention of all participants, young and old. The contribution of the National Association of State Police and Civil Protection was invaluable.
In the first part of the morning the children were able to admire the performances of the various departments and, while they were attentive to the exercises of the < strong> dog watchers and the bomb squad, raised their gaze towards the sky to greet the State Police helicopter that flew over the villa.

Then, from the stage came the greetings of the institutions: the Prefect Renato Cortese, central director for the Road and Railway Police and for the Special Departments of State Police, the Vicar of the Police Commissioner of Rome, Francesco Greco, legality advisor to the Mayor of Rome, and all the other representatives of the specialties of the State Police and other law enforcement agencies. p>

Some actors who wanted to be present at the initiative also took to the stage: Massimo Vanni, Lorenzo Flaherty, Marco Marzocca, Dino Abbrescia and the lookalikes of the legendary couple formed by Inspector Nico Giraldi and Bombolo. Also speaking was the Fiamme Oro champion, Viviana Bottaro, bronze medalist at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the Kata specialty.
The musical moment is unmissable: before bringing the curtain down on the event and wishing the kids happy holidays, the State Police Fanfare performed some great successes of the last Sanremo Festival, alternating with timeless classics such as ‘Stars and Stripes’ and the popular ‘Roma don’t be stupid tonight’. To close, accompanied by the singing of adults and children, the National Anthem.
It was precisely thanks to the synergy and collaboration between the institutions that it was possible to have the 3 thousand students arrive on board dedicated buses, made available not only by the State Police, but also by the Army, Guard of Finance, Red Cross, Cotral, Roma Capitale Local Police, Anas and Penitentiary Police.
