A hospital in the hands of the Contini Camorra clan: 11 arrests in Naples

They are accused - for various reasons - of mafia-type association and transfer of values, crimes perpetrated to facilitate the clan that is part of the Secondigliano Alliance

NAPLES – They took care of the strategic and economic choices of the Contini Camorra clan and even managed a hospital facility. This is what was discovered by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of Naples, who are carrying out a precautionary measure order in prison on 11 seriously suspected subjects. The provision was issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Naples at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Naples – District Anti-Mafia Directorate.

They are accused – for various reasons – of mafia-type association and transfer of values, crimes perpetrated to facilitate the clan belonging to the Secondigliano Alliance, operating in neighborhoods of San Giovanniello, Borgo San Antonio Abate, Ferrovia, Vasto-Arenaccia, Stadera-Poggioreale and Rione Amicizia.

INQUIRY LAUNCHED IN 2021

As stated in a note from the Carabinieri, the restrictive measure arises from a vast investigative activity launched in December 2021 from which the following emerged: the current top-down structure of the Contini clan which was responsible for managing choices strategic and economic strategies of the clan, and of the relationships with other criminal cliques; the fictitious registration of two car rental companies to frontmen, recruited and remunerated for this purpose, in order to avoid any seizure measures. Furthermore, the clan’s conditioning relationships in the functional management of a hospital facility in the city falling within the area of influence of the criminal organization were contested.
