ROMA – A series that has become a cult, going beyond the boundaries of seriality and even Italian ones. He went around the world talking about evil, without sanctifying or sugarcoating it. There are no myths to praise, every character has paid a price. An extreme realism also as a form of denunciation by describing the victims of the Camorra, such as Gelsomina Verde. A series that changed the language of television: what madman would have chosen to broadcast a product in Neapolitan dialect, making it less understandable to many? Yet it happened: ‘Gomorrah’ quickly became a record-breaking series, conquering over 190 countries around the world and was included on the podium of the prestigious ranking of the best series of the year by the New York Times for two times.
It was 6 May 2014 when the first season made its debut on Sky, a title born from the pen of Roberto Saviano which in a short time left an indelible mark in the history of seriality. Ten years after its debut, the first episode of ‘Gomorrah‘ is available today on the Sky YouTube channel. Furthermore, on 25 May the special “Gomorrah – The series: 10 years later” arrives on Sky Atlantic and Now in prime time, which for the occasion brought together the cast : Marco D’Amore (Ciro Di Marzio), Salvatore Esposito (Genny Savastano), Fortunato Cerlino (Don Pietro), Maria Pia Calzone (Donna Imma), Ivana Lotito (Azzurra) and Cristina Donadio (Scianel) – there will be no shortage of surprises and special participations – together again to remember and celebrate the adventure experienced on the set, retracing that journey that changed the rules of Italian seriality, and their lives.

Five seasons, 58 episodes and a film for a black epic that has traveled around the world starting from the streets of the suburbs of Naples, a crossroads of bloody struggles for power, money, love and death. A very dark story, full of unforgettable characters and breathtaking twists. A saga that has made those suburbs the symbol of all the suburbs in the world and which is preparing to return: Sky and Cattleya, as already announced at the ‘Sky 20 years’ event, are working on a prequel that will tell the story of the criminal rise of the boss Pietro Savastano, from when he was just a street boy to becoming the most important and ruthless boss in Naples. The screenplay was written by Leonardo Fasoli and Maddalena Ravagli.

Furthermore, from 25 May to 2 June Sky Atlantic+1 becomes Sky Atlantic Gomorra, a channel entirely dedicated to the iconic Sky Original series produced by Sky and Cattleya – part of ITV Studios. In addition to the marathons of the five seasons and the film ‘The Immortal’ directed by Marco D’Amore – a bridge between the fourth and fifth – the pop-up channel offers special contents that tell the behind-the-scenes story of the different seasons .
